CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Once the contract is signed and we have agreed on a start date, we can really get to work. There will be carpenters, supplier deliveries, and/or different trades on the job site daily throughout the construction process. This helps us keep your project on time and on budget. Our dynamic scheduling allows us to have just the right amount of people on the job for any given day. Believe it or not, too many people on the job site can actually slow the process down! Building a home from start to finish is a methodical process being that many trades rely on one another to continue making progress. It is important that we maintain a safe and clean job site during construction. The John Springstead Construction field and office staff are available to discuss questions and concerns about the construction process. We love to take homeowners through this process and ensure we reach our client's desired results!
SOFTWARE
Throughout the duration of your project, you will be asked to make selections for items such as plumbing fixtures, tile, vanities, siding, trim, fireplaces, and more. Our software helps by reminding you when these selections need to be made. It also reminds you of payments, allows you to look at the schedule, sign change orders and communicate with the office so that your project continues smoothly. Our entire team is able to stay up to date and answer questions or concerns efficiently.
PUNCH LISTS
A Punch List simply put, is a list of “to do’s” that need to be completed before the project can be considered finished. Towards the end of the construction process, there will be daily meetings with the Homeowner, field, and office staff in order to make an organized list about the small tasks that need to get done. We assign specific tasks to our employees to check everything off your punch list efficiently. We strive to keep our punch lists short and up to date, keeping all parties informed of what there is left to do and when it will get done. This can help save weeks at the end of your construction project!
